A warrant seeks the arrest of a Hartstown woman who has been charged with 86 counts in connection with a Venango County case in which she is accused of bilking a woman out of nearly $24,000.
Investigators say 48 year-old Sheila Haist is accused of using a Cornplanter Township woman’s checks and bank card, and opening credit card accounts and a satellite television account in the 81 year-old victim’s name.
Haist reportedly lived in the older woman’s home from August, 2009 until January, 2011.
A criminal complaint showed Haist was charged with counts including forgery, theft by deception, theft by unlawful taking and access device fraud. A warrant was immediately issued for her arrest.
