A Shippenville man was jailed last week after his arraignment on drug and forgery charges in a case in which police say a doctor alerted them to a possible prescription medication fraud.

Clarion Borough Police say 38 year-old Ryan Wise tried to add 300 oxycodone pills to a doctor’s prescription for another medication.  A Clarion pharmacy refused to fill the order.

Wise was charged with the possession of a controlled substance through misrepresentation, forgery, intent to possess a controlled substance that was not prescribed, and filing a fraudulent insurance claim.

After his arraignment, Wise was lodged in the Clarion County Jail with bail set at $100,000.
