Police Say DUI Suspect Threw Wrench Into Man’s Back

An 18 year-old Oakland Township woman was arrested early Friday evening after a suspected D-U-I incident in Cornplanter Township.

State Police officials apprehended the woman – whose name they have not released – after she was alleged to have thrown a large wrench into the back of a 59 year-old Oakland Township man and have struck the man with her fists.

Police say they learned this followed a motor vehicle accident on Miller Farm Road in which the woman is alleged to have driven off the highway and become stuck in a ditch.

Charges include simple assault and driving under the influence of a controlled substance.  Following her arraignment, the woman was lodged in the Venango County Jail in Franklin.
