Pitt’s Aaron Donald Adds Outland Trophy, Bednarik Award To Postseason Laurels

Pitt defensive tackle Aaron Donald has added the Outland Trophy and the Chuck Bednarik Award to his list of postseason college football laurels.

Donald had earlier been announced as the winner of the Bronko Nagurski Trophy, awarded yearly to the nation’s most outstanding defensive player, the recipient of the Rotary Lombardi Award and had won Atlantic Coast Conference Defensive Player-of-the-Year honors.

The two most-recent honors were announced Thursday night at the Home Depot College Football Awards Show which aired on ESPN.

Donald recorded 10 sacks and 26.5 tackles for losses this year.  He has 28.5 career sacks.

The 6-6 Panthers will take on Bowling Green in the Little Caesars Pizza Bowl in Detroit on December 26.
