Russ Smith scored 20 points, and Gorgui Dieng added 14, leading #12 Louisville to a 64-61 home win over Pitt on Monday night.
The game marked the end of a three-game losing streak for the Cardinals (17-4; 5-3 Big East), and the conclusion of a four-game winning string for the Panthers (17-5; 5-4).
Tray Woodall paced Pitt with 14 points, and Lamar Patterson contributed 10. Pitt was just 3-for-12 from the foul line.
