Lamar Patterson scored 12 points and snagged 10 rebounds on Monday night, and the Pitt Panthers (19-5; 7-4 Big East) held off Seton Hall 56-46 in a game played at the Petersen Events Center in Pittsburgh.
Freshman center Steven Adams grabbed 15 rebounds and scored eight points. Fuquan Edwin paced the Pirates (13-10; 2-8) with 23 points, exactly half of his team’s total.
Pitt won despite shooting a season-low 35 percent from the floor (16-46). The Panthers will next play at Cincinnati on Saturday night.
