The Pitt Panthers shook off a loss to one highly-ranked team earlier in the week, and posted a 65-55 home upset over #6 Syracuse on Saturday afternoon.
Tray Woodall led a list of nine Panthers players who scored with 13 points, and Pitt improved to 18-5 overall and 6-4 in the Big East Conference.
Syracuse (18-3; 6-2) was paced by C.J. Fair’s 20 points and 14 from Brandon Tiche.
Pitt will host Seton Hall on Monday night.
