Penn State University and the University of Pittsburgh announced Friday that the renewal of the football rivalry between the two schools, set to begin in 2016, has been extended to a four-year agreement.

The universities have added games in 2018 and 2019 to a rivalry that dates back to 1893, but was cut off in 2000.  Penn State holds a 48-42-2 edge in the series.

The games between the Nittany Lions and the Panthers will be played in Pittsburgh in 2016 and 2018, and at Beaver Stadium at Penn State in 2017 and 2019.
