Pitt Now 9-0 After 85-68 Win Over Loyola-Marymount

Five players reached double figures Friday night as the Pitt Panthers won their ninth straight game, posting an 85-68 home victory over Loyola-Marymount.

Pitt (9-0) was led by Cameron Wright’s 14 points.  Talib Zanna and Durand Johnson both scored 12 points, and Lamar Patterson and Michael Young both added 10 points.

Anthony Ireland paced Loyola-Marymount with 20 points, while Evan Payne scored 16, Gabe Levin recorded 14 and Ben Dickinson added 10.

Pitt’s bench outscored Loyola-Marymount’s substitutes 30-6.  L-M won the rebound battle 37-35.

Pitt will next play on Saturday (Dec. 14), hosting Youngstown State in a noontime game.  The contest will be carried on ESPN Radio 1120, with the pregame show beginning at 11:30 AM.
