Pitt Loses Home Opener In Overtime

The Pitt Panthers, who have no returning starters remaining from last year’s team, slipped to 0-2 on Monday night with an 83-78 overtime loss to Montana in their home opener in Pittsburgh.

Michael Oguine led the way for Montana (2-0) with a career-high 29 points.  With the win, Montana snapped a 14-game losing streak against Power Five conference teams.

Shamiel Stevenson came off the bench to pace Pitt with 19 points, while Ryan Luther added 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds.  Jared Wilson-Frame contributed 15 points to the Panthers’ effort.
