The Pitt Panthers (1-3; 0-1 ACC) are returning home from a trip south for the opener of their Atlantic Coast Conference schedule after having suffered a 35-17 loss on Saturday afternoon at Georgia Tech.

Qadree Ollison caught a 28-yard TD pass, and Quadree Henderson ran a punt back 80 yards for the only Panthers touchdowns.  Ben Dinucci started as Pitt’s quarterback, replacing Max Browne, but Browne came into the game when Pitt’s offense was struggling.  Dinucci completed 12-of-19 passes for 110 yards, while Browne went 10-for-15 for 88 yards.

Pitt tallied only 37 net yards of rushing, and lost the overall offensive yardage battle 474-to-235.

Georgia Tech’s TaQuon Marshall threw only seven passes, completing four for 48 yards.  KirVonte Benson rushed for 196 yards and two touchdowns, and Marshall carried 18 times for 112 yards and a pair of scores of his own.

Georgia Tech improved to 2-1 (1-0 ACC).
