Pitt Earns Overtime Win In Final Regular Season Big East Game

Talib Zanna scored 14 points, including nine in overtime, and grabbed a career-high 19 rebounds on Sunday, lifting the Pitt Panthers (23-7; 11-6 Big East) to a 73-64 overtime win over Villanova in the Panthers’ final regular season Big East Conference basketball game.

James Robinson also scored 14, and Tray Woodall added 13 points and 11 assists.

Ryan Arcidiacono paced Villanova (18-12; 9-8) with 23 points.

Pitt will close the regular season with a road game at DePaul on Saturday afternoon (radio pregame airtime – 1:30 PM on ESPN Radio 1120).  The Big East Conference Tournament will begin on March 12.  Pitt is currently seeded fourth in the Big East, and the top four seeds will receive double byes through the first two days of the tourney.
