Georgia Tech’s defense sacked Pitt quarterback Tom Savage five times and held the Panther’s rushing attack to a net minus-five yards in a 21-10 victory over Pitt on Saturday night in Atlanta.

Robert Godhigh ran for two scores for the Yellow Jackets.

With the loss, Pitt fell to 4-4 overall, and to 2-3 in their inaugural season in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Savage completed 25-of-37 passes for 233 yards with a touchdown pass to Tyler Boyd and one interception.  Boyd caught 11 passes for 118 yards.  Chris Blewitt provided the other Pitt score with a 44-yard field goal.

Next Saturday night (Nov. 9), Pitt will host Notre Dame (7-2) in an 8:00 PM game at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh.  Oil City’s Ben Koyack is a tight end for the Fighting Irish.  Koyack scored his third touchdown reception of the season Saturday when he caught a 17-yard pass from Tommy Rees in a 38-34 victory for Notre Dame over Navy.
