The Pitt Panthers (20-7; 8-6 Big East) squandered an early 19-3 lead Monday night, and lost a 51-42 home decision to Notre Dame (21-6; 9-5).
After missing 18 of their first 19 shots, the Fighting Irish shot 60 percent from the floor the rest of the way. Pitt missed 21 of their final 30 shots.
Jerian Grant and Jack Cooley both scored 13 points for Notre Dame, and Eric Atkins added 10. Tray Woodall paced the Panthers with 11 points.
