Pirates Win In Walk-off Over Orioles

Carlos Paulino drove home the winning run with a ground ball in the bottom of the ninth inning on Monday, and the Pittsburgh Pirates (7-10) won their fourth preseason game in three days 4-3 over the Baltimore Orioles at McKechnie Field in Bradenton, Florida.

Josh Harrison had tied the game at 3-3 with his second RBI base hit of the day.  Alex Presley followed with a single and eventually scored the winning run.

Brad Hawpe homered for the Pirates.  Kris Johnson pitched a scoreless inning in the top of the ninth to earn the win.

Lew Ford slammed his second homer of the spring for the Orioles (10-4).

The Bucs will take Tuesday off before hosting the Toronto Blue Jays on Wednesday afternoon.
