Phone Scammer Badgers Titusville Resident

Titusville City Police are investigating a complaint from a city resident who tells them he is continually being hounded by a telephone caller who insists he has won five million dollars and an expensive car.

The caller states that the man can claim his prize by sending out a $2,500 fee.

Legally-regulated contest companies are prohibited by law from collecting fees from prize-winners, and the Titusville calls constitute obvious scam attempts.  Law enforcement officials urge residents to never send money for a prize that is promised to you.
