A shootout goal by Beau Bennett on Thursday night proved to be the game-deciding score as the Pittsburgh Penguins took a 4-3 decision over the Blackhawks in an NHL preseason game played in Chicago.

Derrick Pouliot, Joe Vitale and Sidney Crosby scored during regulation play for Pittsburgh (1-2).  The Chicago goals were tallied by Patrick Sharp, Ben Smith and Brandon Bollig.

Now halfway through  their six-game preseason slate, the Pens will host Columbus on Saturday afternoon at Consol Energy Center.
