Pens Win 3-1 In Ottawa

The Pittsburgh Penguins (11-7-3) moved into a tie with New Jersey for first place in the NHL’s Metropolitan Division on Thursday night with a 3-1 victory over the Senators in Ottawa.

Patric Hornqvist, Jake Guentzel and Riley Sheahan scored for the Penguins, and Matt Murray (11-4-1) stopped 21 of the mere 22 shots he had to face.

The lone goal for the Senators (8-4-5) was scored in the third period by Jean-Gabriel Pageau.  Ottawa goaltender Craig Anderson (7-4-3) made 26 saves.

The Penguins will host Chicago (9-8-2) on Saturday night at 7:00 PM.  Live coverage will begin on 96.3 KQW immediately following the completion of the Penn State-Nebraska football contest.
