Pens Sweep Home-And-Home With Columbus; Zatkoff Gets Shutout For First NHL Win

Jeff Zatkoff (1-2) earned his first win as a National Hockey League goaltender on Saturday night in a 3-0 shutout for the Pittsburgh Penguins at Columbus.

Zatkoff stopped 19 shots, and the Pens (11-4) completed a sweep of the Friday/Saturday home-and-home series with the Blue Jackets (5-8).  Deryk Engelland, Chris Kunitz and Jussi Jokinen scored for Pittsburgh.

On Friday night in Pittsburgh, the Pens posted a 4-2 win over the Blue Jackets with Marc-Andre Fleury (10-2) in goal.  Kunitz, Kris Letang, Brandon Sutter and Jason Megna found the net for Pittsburgh.  Fleury recorded 37 saves.  Derek MacKenzie and Ryan Johansen scored for Columbus.

As of Monday morning, the Penguins found themselves leading the New York Islanders by seven points in the NHL’s Metropolitan Division.  The Pens next play Wednesday night at New York against the Rangers.  Radio pregame airtime on 96.3 KQW will be 7:00 PM.
