Pens Avoid Overtime, Beat Arizona 4-2

Olli Maatta’s shot from just inside the blue line with fifteen seconds left in the game Saturday night led to a 4-2 road victory for the Pittsburgh Penguins over the Arizona Coyotes in NHL action in Glendale, Arizona.

The shot by Maatta snapped a 2-2 tie.  Sidney Crosby added an empty-net score just nine seconds later.

Pittsburgh (17-14-3) also received scores from Carter Rowney and Evgeni Malkin.  Scoring for Arizona (7-23-5) were Nick Cousins and Max Domi.

Penguins goaltender Matt Murray (12-8-1) faced only 17 shots, and stopped 15 of them.  The Coyotes’ Antti Raanta made 29 saves.

The Penguins will play the rubber game of a three-game road trip on Monday night at 9:00 PM (EST).  Live coverage on 96.3 KQW will begin immediately following the Franklin versus Harbor Creek high school basketball game.
