Pennsylvania’s fallen police officers were honored Monday at a noontime memorial service at the state Capitol grounds.
Five Pennsylvania law enforcement officers died in the line of duty in 2012, and they were remembered at a memorial service arranged by the state lodge of the Fraternal Order of Police. The fallen officers included four city police officials and one Pennsylvania State Police Trooper.
Governor Tom Corbett and state Attorney General Kathleen Kane were among the scheduled speakers.
Honored were state trooper Blake Coble, and officers Bradley Fox from Plymouth Township, Brian Lorenzo and Moses Walker, from Philadelphia, and Avery Freeman, from Chester.
