Pennsylvania’s Christmas Tree Supply Reported To Be Good

November 25, 2017

Despite contrary reports from the Pacific Northwest, growers in Pennsylvania say there will be an ample variety of Christmas trees from which to choose in this state this year.

Gary Thomas, a member of the Pennsylvania Christmas Tree Growers Association, told Radio PA News that, with their good needle retention, the Fraser Fir and Douglas Fir are among the most popular Christmas trees grown and sold in Pennsylvania.  Others include the white pine, blue spruce and balsam fir.

The PCTGA says the best ways to get the longest life out of a Christmas tree are to keep it watered and keep it away from heat sources.

Thomas says Christmas tree prices should range between $20 and $80, depending on the size of the tree.
