Officials from both Penn State and Central Florida announced this week that the two schools will meet to start the 2014 collegiate football season in Dublin, Ireland.

The game is scheduled to be played on August 30, 2014 at Croke Park.  ESPN-2 will carry the game live.

The contest will be the eighth U.S. college football game to be played in Ireland, the most recent being Notre Dame’s 50-10 win over Navy at the start of the 2012 season.

Penn State will become the first Big Ten Conference school to play football internationally since Michigan State and Wisconsin met in the 1993 regular season finale in Tokyo, Japan.
