Because of the continuing police activity in Boston, the Pittsburgh Penguins’ Friday night hockey game against the Boston Bruins has been postponed until Saturday afternoon at 12:30 PM.

Radio pregame airtime on 96.3 KQW will be 12:00 noon.

The city of Boston and at least a half-dozen of its suburbs have been on a daylong lockdown due to the search for the second of two suspects sought in Monday’s bombings at the Boston Marathon.  Among those affected were the Penguins who were ordered to remain in their hotel until further notice.  The Pens and the Bruins were both forced to miss their morning practice sessions.  The scheduled Major League Baseball game between the Boston Red Sox and the Kansas City Royals was also postponed.

Because of the change in the Penguins’ schedule, their Saturday night home game against the Buffalo Sabres has been moved to Tuesday night at 7:30 PM.  Radio pregame airtime on 96.3 KQW will be 7:00 PM.

The Bruins already have had one game rescheduled.  Their game that was to have been played last Monday night was rescheduled for Sunday, April 28, the day after the regular season schedule was originally set for its conclusion.
