Penguins Extend Streak To 7 With Another Third-Period Rally

For the second straight game, the Pittsburgh Penguins (20-8) scored three times in the third period to post a comeback victory.

The Pens posted a 3-1 win over the Maple Leafs in Toronto on Thursday night, and extended their winning streak to seven games while stretching their record in March to 7-0.

Toronto (15-12-1) took a 1-0 lead on a score by Tyler Bozak midway through the second period.  Pittsburgh was finally able to tie the game with a score by Pascal Dupuis with 7:18 remaining in the game.  Dupuis gave the Penguins the lead with his 13th goal of the season with 2:10 left.  Craig Adams added an empty-netter at :10.

Marc-Andre Fleury (14-5) stopped 28 of 29 shots for the win in goal.  Ben Scrivens ((6-8) took the loss.

Over the weekend, the Penguins will host the New York Rangers in a Saturday afternoon game (1:00 PM faceoff) and the Boston Bruins at 12:30 PM on Sunday.  The Sunday contest will air at 12:00 noon on 96.3 KQW.
