Penguins Beat Lightning 5-2

Team scoring leader Phil Kessel recorded two goals and two assists, and Sidney Crosby added a pair of goals as the Pittsburgh Penguins defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning 5-2 on Saturday night at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh.

Bryan Rust added a short-handed goal, and Tristan Jarry earned his first NHL win, stopping 33-of-35 shots.

Ondrej Palat and Cory Conacher scored for Tampa Bay (16-5-2), who had entered the game with the league’s best record.  Goaltender Peter Budaj made 29 saves in 34 opportunities.

Pittsburgh (12-10-3) will host Philadelphia (8-9-6) on Monday night.  Radio pregame time on 96.3 KQW will be 6:30 PM.
