A Parker man was charged following a motor vehicle crash and subsequent fire early Saturday evening.

State Police in Clarion County say they stopped 65 year-old James Baucom after his vehicle had hit a utility pole and a fire hydrant in Monroe Township.  Troopers say Baucom continued traveling on a flat tire, and with front end damage, until they stopped him in Perry Township.

Shortly after the traffic stop, Baucom’s vehicle caught fire.

Police did not identify all the charges against Baucom, but did say he was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
