One Of Two Defendants In Titusville Brew Pub Burglary Sentenced To County Jail

The first of two defendants in the January burglary of a brew pub in Titusville has been sentenced to as much as two years minus one day in the Crawford County jail to be followed by two years of probation.

20 year-old Silas Yashinski, from Harrisburg, was handed down his sentence Wednesday in Crawford County Court.  Yashinski’s co-defendant, 19 year-old Matthew Isaiah Miller from Titusville, will be sentenced next week.

Yashinski was given credit for about six months of jail time already served, but was also ordered to pay more than $4,600 in restitution.

Both men had entered guilty pleas in earlier plea bargains – Yashinski to a count of burglary and Miller to burglary and criminal mischief.

The men had been accused of breaking into one building, forcing their way into the basement of another building, and then forcing their way into the brew pub and stealing the contents of a safe, discarding the safe elsewhere.

Some $4,600 was taken.
