One person was injured and four vehicles were damaged in a pair of crashes that occurred Monday morning on Oil City’s North Side.

The incidents happened shortly after 8:00 AM near the intersection of East Bissell and Carroll Avenues.

Police say the driver of an S-U-V hit a car parked along East Bissell before then slamming into a utility pole.  The driver of another vehicle stopped to render aid, and that driver’s car was hit from behind by another vehicle.

East Bissell Avenue was closed for about an hour.

The injured driver, who was not immediately identified, was taken to UPMC Northwest in Cranberry for treatment of injuries that were described as “minor.”
