Those filing their Pennsylvania state income tax returns online have been given an extra day to meet what had been an April 15 deadline.
The websites for many state agencies went down for nearly four hours on Monday afternoon. Among them was the Department of Revenue website along with its direct filing feature and tax filing resources.
So, Revenue Secretary Dan Meuser says no penalties or interest will be imposed on late filers of state returns, as long as they file by the end of the day April 16.
The website issues occurred shortly after 1:00 PM on Monday. Access was restored shortly before 5:00 PM.
