Oil City’s Ben Koyack Records First Collegiate TD In Notre Dame Win

Oil City High School graduate Ben Koyack recorded his first collegiate touchdown reception on Saturday night in Notre Dame’s 37-34 victory over Arizona State in a game played at Dallas Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Koyack hauled in a 19-yard pass  from Tommy Rees for the first score of the game for the Fighting Irish.  Koyack still holds the Oil City and District 10 records for most career receptions and highest career receiving yardage.

Rees threw for 279 yards and three touchdowns in the win as Notre Dame improved to 4-2.  Dan Fox scored on a interception return, and Kyle Brindza kicked three field goals.

Arizona State fell to 3-2, despite a 362-yard, three touchdown passing night for Sun Devils quarterback Taylor Kelly.
