An Oil City woman was injured early Wednesday morning when her car left Route 8 in Reno and struck a house.

State Police officials say the crash occurred about five minutes after midnight near the Route 8 intersection with Fourth Street near the Reno Post Office.  A car driven by 51 year-old Lisa Wice, headed toward Oil City, apparently crossed three lanes of travel and hit a residence on the left side of the highway.

Troopers say Wice was transported to UPMC Northwest in Cranberry.  There was no immediate word as to the extent of her injuries.

Wice’s car struck no other vehicles, and there was no indication that anyone in the house was injured.
