An Oil City woman is free on bail after having been charged in an incident sparked by what police say was the failure to pick up a five year-old child at a bus stop.

Oil City Police say the child’s mother, 40 year-old Nicole Flockerzi, was found to be intoxicated at her home with another child – a three year-old – left unattended there.

Officers add that Flockerzi attempted to bite and kick them as they tried to arrest her.

Flockerzi was charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of children, in addition to single counts of assaulting a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest and obstructing the administration of law.

The two young children were released into the care of their father.
