An Oil City woman was bound over for trial Wednesday on charges connected with the theft of a chihuahua dog just before Christmas.

25 year-old Phylisha Rankin was charged with burglary and theft in the disappearance of a $400 chihuahua from a residence on Breedtown Road in Cherrytree Township.  Rankin reportedly had previously been at the address with another woman who had put up a down payment on another dog.

Rankin faces trial in Venango Count Court.  No trial date was set.
