Those attending a meeting regarding the future of the Brody Block property on Oil City’s North Side were given the opportunity this week to offer their input on how, or if, the property should be developed.
Residents at an Oil City Main Street meeting regarding the tentatively-named Oil City Town Square were allotted the opportunity to vote on various options, and add their thoughts and opinions on the potential of the Square where a full block of condemned properties was demolished last spring. For now, the lot, between Center and Sycamore Streets, has been graded and cultivated with grass. The site did host a community Christmas tree over the winter holidays.
The community input will enable consultants to come up with multiple options for the Square for presentation to the Oil City Redevelopment Authority, which owns the property.
