Oil City Man Sentenced To County Jail Term In 2016 Overdose

An Oil City man was sentenced Monday to just under two years in the Venango County Jail on his guilty plea to a conspiracy charge stemming from a heroin overdose in Siverly last December.

In a plea bargain, three other charges against 34 year-old Timothy Stahlman were dismissed.

Stahlman was one of two men charged in an incident in which police say a woman overdosed at his residence on Colbert Avenue on December 28.  Stahlman and 46 year-old Anton Roberson, from Franklin, were accused of transporting heroin from Pittsburgh and distributing it in the Venango County area.

Roberson also pleaded guilty to conspiracy, and was sentenced in June to two to four years in state prison.

Stahlman was also sentenced to two years of post-jail probation, and was given credit for seventeen days already served.
