An Oil City man could serve as much as 13 years in state prison in his sentencing in a case involving the sexual assault of a 12 year-old girl.
24 year-old Matthew Wade was sentenced in Venango County Court to consecutive terms of 21 months to five years on charges of statutory sexual assault and unlawful contact with a minor, and 18 months to three years for violating probation. He was also sentenced to five years of probation to follow his release from jail.
Wade and a 16 year-old male were accused of having sex with two twelve year-old girls near the Wye Bridge in Oil City in July, 2011. The second suspect was processed by juvenile court, and his files were not made public.
