An Oil City man who was charged in multiple incidents in which he allegedly exposed himself to young girls has been sentenced to 9-and-a-half years to 24 years in state prison in both of two cases involving incidents dating back to 2004.

51 year-old Juan Gonzales could spend a total of 48 years behind bars.  He has been given credit for more than two years already served.  Upon his release, Gonzales must also register as a sex offender for the remainder of his life.

Gonzales was convicted of charges connected with accusations that he regularly exposed himself to two young girls who lived in his household.  He later entered guilty pleas to other charges involving a third young girl who lived in his neighborhood.

After the charges in the initial incidents were filed in early 2011, Gonzales disappeared from the Oil City area.  He was eventually apprehended in the Miami, Florida area.

A Venango County jury deadlocked on charges that included the rape of a child, but Gonzales was sentenced on multiple charges of open lewdness, endangering the welfare of a child, indecent exposure and the corruption of minors.
