An Oil City man was sentenced this week in Venango County Court to up to a year-and-a-half in jail in a January incident in which he was accused of fleeing police while driving under the influence in a vehicle that had been reported stolen.
25 year-old Ronald Feely was sentenced Tuesday on charges of the unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, an accident involving damage, and driving under the influence.
Police say they tried to stop Feely in a reported stolen vehicle, and Feely slammed into their cruiser and tried to drive away. The vehicle ended up in someone’s yard, and Feely allegedly tried to flee the scene on foot.
Feely was also sentenced to two years of probation, and was ordered to pay more than $15,000 in restitution.
