An Oil City man will face a preliminary hearing on Wednesday on charges involving the burglary of jewelry and cash from a Cranberry Township residence last Wednesday.

State Police say 21 year-old Ryne Kean was charged Friday with burglary, theft by unlawful taking, trespassing and criminal mischief.  Kean was lodged in the Venango County Jail on $10,000 bail.

Investigators say Kean entered through the back door of a residence on Little Egypt Road, and stole about $4,000 worth of gold jewelry and more than $100 in cash.  Kean allegedly attempted to sell the jewelry at a local business which buys gold.
