An Oil City-area man has entered guilty pleas to charges of simple assault and trespassing in a February incident in which he was accused of breaking into a Hoffman Avenue residence and assaulting a woman who lives there.

39 year-old Bradley Felmlee was accused of kicking in a door, hitting a woman in the face, threatening to return and shoot the occupants of the house, and ripping a telephone and an emergency medical alert system from a wall.

In a plea bargain in Venango County Court on Monday, other charges, including burglary, making terroristic threats and harassment were dismissed.

Felmlee will be sentenced on August 27.
