An Ohio woman has died when she fell through the ice on the Shenango River Reservoir in Mercer County.
Search crews pulled the bodies of 56 year-old Jean Black, from Hubbard, and her two dogs from the water near a recreation area off West Lake Road in Pymatuning Township late Thursday morning. It is believed the victim ventured onto the ice to retrieve her dogs after they wandered out onto the reservoir.
Police sources say the ice was less than two inches thick in the spot where Black went through. Black had been reported missing on Wednesday night.
