Ohio State LB Ryan Shazier Is Steelers’ Number-1 Draft Pick

The Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday night made Ohio State linebacker Ryan Shazier their first-round selection – number-15 overall – in the 2014 NFL Draft.

Shazier (6-1; 237 lbs.) recorded over 100 tackles in his final two seasons as a Buckeye.  He was responsible for six sacks last season alone.  Shazier has reportedly run a 4.38 in the 40-yard dash.  The Steelers’ official time on his 40 was 4.40.

Rounds two and three of the NFL draft will be held Friday night, and the remainder of the selection process will be completed on Saturday.
