Oil City Council voted Thursday to loan up to $31,000 to help with the demolition of the condemned “Brody Block.”
Council recently agreed to a $146,000 contract for the project. Nearly $30,000 in funding is still needed.
The zero percent loan to the Oil City Redevelopment Authority which owns the property would be repaid within five years. The money would be transferred from an earned income tax account.
The actual demolition should begin before the end of the month.
