A Nickleville-area man was charged with 26 counts last week after state officials said they found child pornography on his computers.
The state Attorney General’s office says 25 year-old Shane Niederriter was lodged in the Clarion County Jail after his arraignment on 25 charges of the possession of child pornography and one count of the criminal use of a communications device. Bail was set at $10,000.
Authorities say the investigation began when a woman called police in Knox to claim that a man kept phoning her to ask for pictures of her 20-month-old daughter. Investigators say Niederriter was making the calls, and was claiming to be a representative of a talent and modeling agency from Pittsburgh.
