A Nickleville-area man has been sentenced in Clarion County Court to 50-to-100 months in state prison on his September guilty pleas to 25 counts of the possession of child pornography.
26 year-old Shane Niederriter was ordered to serve two-to-four months on each charge. He was also sentenced to serve five years of probation to follow his prison term.
A police investigation of Niederriter began in early February when a woman from the Knox area complained that a man had been repeatedly calling her and asking for pictures of her 20 month-old daughter. Police later said Niederriter had been making the calls, claiming to be a representative of a talent and modeling agency in Pittsburgh.
The state Attorney General’s office subsequently reported that investigators looking into the incident found images of child pornography on Niederriter’s computer.
