Today marks the date that Oil City’s new city manager is to begin his duties.

Eric Strahl was hired in November.  He replaces Ryan Eggleston, who resigned last year and has taken the job as city manager in South Fayette in Allegheny County.

Strahl most recently has served as interim clerk and treasurer in Menominee, Michigan.  He had previously been that community’s city manager.

When he was hired, it was reported that Stahl has also served as city manager in two other cities in Michigan, and has held similar positions in communities in four other states, including New York, Rhode Island, Maine and Kentucky.
