A New Jersey man who entered guilty pleas in Venango County Court in his seventh D-U-I case was sentenced last week to three-to-10 years in state prison.

The sentencing last week stemmed from charges of D-U-I-highest rate and fleeing police.  42 year-old Jonathan Mace, from Pittsgrove, New Jersey, will also serve five years probation on a charge of an accident involving injury by a person not properly licensed.  Mace will be given credit for about 4-and-a-half months already served.

Franklin City Police said Mace had a blood-alcohol content reading of point-27, some three-and-a-half times the legal limit, when he tried to flee them on his motorcycle from a Franklin fast food restaurant parking lot last August.  Officers say Mace traveled the wrong way down Otter Street, crashed his bike, and skidded with it for nearly 100 feet before it jumped a curb and struck a building.

Mace was hospitalized for nearly four months.  He was arraigned on charges in December, and entered his pleas in April.
