Investigators say the victim of a weekend burglary in Cherrytree Township discovered his stolen possessions when he visited a neighbor to ask if he had been a witness to the crime, and spotted his stolen items in the neighbor’s house.
Police say the neighbor, 20 year-old Logan Page, was arrested on a parole detainer, and was then charged with burglary, theft by unlawful taking and criminal mischief. He was lodged in the Venango County Jail on $50,000 bail.
Police say Page kicked in the back door of the victim’s cabin and entered the building with a juvenile companion. The pair are accused of drinking the victim’s wine, and then filling garbage bags with the man’s belongings and taking the items with them.
The unidentified juvenile is also being charged.
