February 14, 2013

James Neal scored two goals and added an assist, and Sidney Crosby tallied one goal and two assists as the Pittsburgh Penguins posted a 4-2 home win over the Ottawa Senators.

Pascal Dupuis added a goal for Pittsburgh (9-5), helping end a two-game losing streak.  Marc-Andre Fleury (6-3) stopped 27 of 29 shots on goal.  The Pens outshot Ottawa 30-29.

Stephane DaCosta and Jim O’Brien scored for the Senators (7-5-2).

Penguins defensemen Kris Letang and Matt Niskanen both returned to the lineup.  Niskanen had missed eight games with an ankle injury, and Letang had been out of action for three games with a groin injury.

Earlier in the day, Pittsburgh announced they had traded left wing Eric Tangradi to Winnipeg for a seventh-round draft choice.  The Penguins also recalled forward Beau Bennett from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, and sent defenseman Dylan Reese back to the “Baby Pens.”
